About Odd Down Lib Dems

Steve Hedges was elected in 1999 to serve Odd Down and has served 5 full terms. Joel Hirst was elected in 2019 to serve Odd Down. Previously Nigel Roberts served as Councillor for Odd Down for the Lib Dems.

In 2019 we were elected with some key priorities:
Six Priorities for Odd Down
1 Education on Culverhay site We are working with residents for Education to continue on the Culverhay site and fare access for secondary school places for our families

2 Affordable Housing for families We urgently need affordable housing for families in Bath and pushing for more limits on any conversion of houses to multiple occupancy

3 Protect the Green Belt We want no increase in the number of houses currently planned (170) for Sulis Down

4 Reduce Congestion We want the council to prioritise investment in cheaper buses and more safe pedestrian/ cycle routes

5 Improve Air Quality We have already got agreement to place an air quality monitor on the Red Lion Roundabout – we need clean air for Odd Down

6 Funding for Youth services We are pushing for more investment in youth services, better funding of community policing to help deter antisocial behaviour

We have now started work in helping to deliver these priorities.
We are currently serving on the following Council Committees:
Steve: Licensing Committee & Bath City Forum
Joel: Climate Emergency and Sustainability Policy Development and Scrutiny Panel & Bath City Forum
